Today in class we went over a PowerPoint on Egypt and we took notes. The things we took notes are on the Nile river, upper Egypt, lower Egypt, the harmony and balance of the universe, pharaohs. We then watched a cover song to Mesopotamia and watched it. I don't think it was necessary to watch as it didn't provide that much information.

today in class we continued to take notes on Mesopotamia and the early ages. We then had to look up Hammurabi's laws and discussed them. These laws are odd for us right now but if you think back to how long ago it was written it makes sense. there are 242 laws. some of the laws are very weird bt others make sense.

The answer is geographic luck. The plants and animals in the area are the reason the Papua new guinea isn't as advanced as everywhere else.

Today in class we continued to watch the video comparing the early middle east and new Guinea to see why countries developed whereas other countries didn't. The answer is the type of crop and animals that are in the area. In new Guinea there isn't many crops that could be farmed by the people. The animals that lived there also couldn't be tamed and bred for specific purposes.

1/8/20

today in class we watched a video on the Papua, new Guinea. That is one of the only places where there are still people that survive off of being hunters and gatherers. There was a question asked that sat with a lot of people. A native man to this country asked diamond(the author of the book) why the white men have more things then then them. There is no real answer to why some places developed more then others.
