introduction/conclusion

There are many factors that go into the overall well being of countries such as population, migration, economy, birth rates, death rates. Three countries that are suffering from this are japan, India, and mexico. Japan is located in asia. india is located in south asia. Mexico is located in north America. Japans problem is population declining, indias problem is the population increasing, and mexicos problem is the net migration rate. There are solutions to these problems but it would be hard to reverse.

studying for the exam essay

A country with a huge problem in todays world is India. India is way over-populated. There population is 1,296,834,042. No matter where you go in India it is always going to be crowded. This is due to their birth rate being higher then their death rate. Their rate of natural increase is 10.62/1000. That mean their population is rapidly growing still. As they are over populated right now if their population continues to grow like this they will be too deep in the hole to reverse the affects.
Another country with a big problem is The central African republic. The GDP per capitta hear is 700 dollars. This country is very poor. As the people living in it don't make enough money to survive, they need to find a solution to this problem. With the country being this poor, they aren't able to buy essential things or actually try and move up in the world and start to develop. It also means it cant produce goods and sell goods. this means it wont be making any money so the country is essentially stuck with a bad economy until they can make something out of nothing.
The third country that is facing challenges is chad. Chad is a mess. one of there problems is there economy. Their gdp is 2,300. This is extremely low and people cant really survive and get the essential needs of life with this kind of money. Another problem that chad is facing is their life expectancy. Their life expectancy Is 50.2 years. This is low as most countries are above 70-75. Chads infant mortality rate is 71.7 deaths/1000 live births. That means their medicine and hygiene is very poor. it isn't good if that many babies are dying along with people only living to age 50. With a combination of multiple factors, chad is in a very bad state right now and they need to try and fix their problems, starting with the smaller ones.

12/9/19

Today in class we took a quiz. The quiz was on demographic transition. I studied a little so I feel like I should get a pretty good grade. There were questions that I didn't study for on the quiz though. I studied just the chart and the stages but there were a lot of other things on it that I wish I knew so I could've studied for them as well. I also need to start studying for all of my exams. They are all only a week away and I'm really underprepared. Ill start studying tonight and throughout the rest of the week. Some things from the quiz were knowing the demographic transition, knowing all about birth rate, death rate, rate of natural increase and total population.

Today in class we reviewed for the quiz on Monday. We went over the demographic transitions graph and took notes on it. We then watched a khan academy video on the demographic transition. Hopefully I am ready for the quiz.

Khan academy
1) you get your growth rate of a country by taking the current population minus the initial population then divide that by the initial population then multiply that by 100
2) The individual countries take on children play a big role in what stage they are in and what their growth rate is. Religion, type of work and the population can play a part in this.
3) The longer time goes on the further along the stages the countries will be. For example, in the 1800's pretty much every country was in stage one. Then starting in the early 1900's the countries started to progress into stage two. It will continue along with this as time goes on.
Kim smith
1)  Back before the industrial revolution, the worlds population only grew about 67,000 each year. Now the worlds population grows about 67,000 people every 6 hours.
2) Children were defined as assets. The children helped out around the house, and if you lived on a farm, which most people did, then they would be a crucial part of running the farm. That is why a lot of people had so many kids back before the industrial revolution and why most countries were still in stage one.
3) Stage three is when children change from assets to liabilities. They become an economic hazard and take up a lot of time. This changed from children helping out their families with economic needs and they were pretty important to have a lot of them.
populations grow
1) There a two main factors that influence population change. One of them is rate of natural increase, and the second one is net migration rate.
2) In many countries the main factor of population not declining is migration. If there were no migration then in countries like America for instance, the population would be declining instead of rising
3) The stages of the countries also relates to the money of the country and the resources. If the country is poor and there aren't a lot of resources, like African countries, then they would be in stage two. On the other hand, countries like japan and Italy are wealthy and have lots a resources, so they are higher up in the stages. The countries like this will be in stage four or the undefined stage five.

12/3/19

Today in class we talked about the demographic transitive. We watched two videos on this as they discussed the different map and how they relate to each stages. Each stage has different things in it that involves the crude birth rate, crude death rate, and rate of natural increase. There are four stages, but there is an undefined fifth stage. The fifth stage has countries like japan and Italy in it.

12/2/19

Today in class we read a section out of a textbook and highlighted important information. Since we had to do it by ourselves, we probably learned more and got more out of it. We then went over our test from last week. II didn't study for it as I didn't know about the test so I didn't get a good grade.
